How long do we have to put up with this—
the country depressed, the farms in ruin—
And all because of wickedness, these wicked lives?
Even animals and birds are dying off
Because they'll have nothing to do with God
and think God has nothing to do with them.
Jeremiah 12:4
If we don't stop our over-consumption we will be asking this question. But we do know whose garden this is. It is God's, we are hear to tend the garden. How will you answer when the owner comes and asks for a progress report?

FROM THE PHYSICAL VIGIL:
*This is the greatest void we give the worldwide...ugliness and misery we've created as a culture doing what we can seems so pitifully insufficient. God help us restore our home.
*We need to move from loving self for self's sake to loving self for God's sake to loving God for self's sake to loving God for God's sake. When we are transformed we can transform the world.

*Dear Lord, please anoint the hearts of those who do not truly realize what they are doing to your precious garden. Let our words rise in unity to protect this planet and all living creatures so that it will heal and rejuvenate itself to be able to nourish us . Let us find compassion and hope and a way back to humanity for all.
*God: please save us from our blind ambitions and ourselves...help us to realize that we cannot save the planet...only to respect it and only you can save anything...help us Lord.
*God, please hear this prayer. Please make them see and stop what they are doing to your earth. I Jesus' name I pray, amen.

*Could this one day be our gift to the generations that follow? So bleak...yet with God there is hope
